The expansion restores the excitement of travel with an “observation deck” experience reminiscent of the original 1949 Art Deco terminal. Sunset Magazine noted, “In this tranquil, park-like atrium, you might even hope for a flight delay.” People naturally gravitate to views of the airfield and Olympic Mountain Range through a 60-foot by 350-foot glass curtainwall, the largest of its kind in North America. The marketplace is the heart of the complex, with open seating, dining tables, landscaping, artwork and vibrant storefronts.
