STEVE WHITE AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Principal and Director of Washington DC
There is no doubt whatever about the influence of architecture and structure upon human character and action. We make our buildings and afterwards they make us. They regulate the course of our lives.
Steve has more than 20 years of experience designing contextually responsive urban infill projects in Washington, DC, across the country, and overseas. He has collaborated with a broad range of clients including cultural organizations, such as the National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian Institution; government agencies such as the GSA, City and County of Denver, and the DC Department of General Services; educational institutions including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and private developers such as Boston Properties, Vornado, Quadrangle Development Corporation, the Wilkes Company, the BF Saul Company, First Potomac, SB Urban, and the Beijing-SCOMC. Steve is a National Peer for the GSA National Register of Peer Professionals, a regular juror and critic with universities and building industry organizations in the mid-Atlantic region, a member of the George Washington Chapter of Lambda Alpha, a LEED Accredited Professional since 2004, and the 2015 President of the Washington, DC Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
